PUBLISHING
AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES
The Croatian Dyslexia Association
publishes a bulletin biannually for the purpose
of briefing on dyslexia and popularizing the related problems.
Our publications:
- address book of the speech
therapists in Croatia (2005),
- manual on dyslexia (2007);
in addition to its printed version, the textbook is also available on
CD,
- CD "Creative learning"
(2008), which is first of three CD's planned in the project "Creative
learning".
The Association has also had a poster printed. Leaflet and texts with
brief information on dyslexia and related difficulties are being distributed
in public meetings.
Members of the Association
- professionals and parents, frequently participate in TV and radio broadcasts,
write articles and give interviews in newspapers.
PROJECTS
1. Publication and distribution
of manual, poster, leaflet and interactive manual on CD on dyslexia. Education
of teachers and parents on the problem of dyslexia (2003-2007)
2. "Creative Learning"
- learning with the help of interactive CD's (2006)
Three CD's are planned within the project. First CD "Let's read together"
for the age 6-8 years is published in 2008. While playing the games with
cat and mouse, children achieve the skills which are necessary for initial
reading and writing. The other two CD's (for the age 8-10 and 11-14) are
being prepared.
Projects are aimed at directly helping persons with dyslexia and their
community and influencing schooling, legislation and governmental institutions
to improve social care of dyslexic persons and children in particular.
IMMEDIATE AID
Every Wednesday experts from CDA are on call on phone giving advice and
instructions.
The website has a forum

or by e-mail messages.
